Cydectin LA 20 mg/ml Solution for Injection for Sheep

Cydectin LA 20 mg/ml Solution for Injection for Sheep is a long-acting injectable wormer containing moxidectin. It is used for the treatment and prevention of mixed infections of gastro-intestinal roundworms, respiratory worms and certain arthropod parasites in sheep.

Cydectin LA is suitable for sheep over 15kg bodyweight and is administered by subcutaneous injection at the base of the ear.

Suitable for: Sheep over 15kg bodyweight.

Active ingredient: Moxidectin 20mg/ml.

Uses:

Treatment and prevention of mixed gastro-intestinal worm infections
Treatment and prevention of respiratory worm infections
Treatment of certain arthropod parasites
Activity against Oestrus ovis larvae

Dosage guide: 0.5ml per 10kg bodyweight, equivalent to 1mg moxidectin per kg bodyweight.

Administer as a single subcutaneous injection at the base of the ear using the correct injection technique. Sheep should be weighed accurately before treatment to ensure the correct dose is given.

Withdrawal periods:

Meat and offal: 104 days
Milk: Not permitted for use in dairy sheep at any stage of life

Important information: For use in sheep over 15kg only. Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Underdosing may result in ineffective treatment and may increase the risk of resistance. Treated animals should not have access to watercourses during the first 11 days after treatment. Do not store above 25°C and protect from light. Use within 28 days of first opening. Always read the product packaging and datasheet before use.
