Elanco CLiK Extra is a long-lasting pour-on product for the prevention of blowfly strike in sheep. It contains dicyclanil, an insect growth regulator which works by preventing blowfly larvae from developing into the damaging second and third stage maggots that cause fly strike.
CLiK Extra provides up to 19 weeks’ protection against blowfly strike and is suitable for use on sheep with any wool length, including off-shears. It is designed to be applied before, or at the start of, predicted blowfly activity.

Directions for use: For external use only. Shake the container well before use and do not dilute with water.
Apply using a suitable manual or automatic dosing gun fitted with a spray nozzle. The product should be applied as a fan spray using the recommended four-stroke method, with part of the dose applied along the spine and the remainder over the tail and crutch area.
Bodyweight should be assessed as accurately as possible and the dosing device checked before use to ensure the correct dose is applied. Where sheep are treated in groups, they should be grouped according to bodyweight to avoid underdosing or overdosing.
Withdrawal periods:
Meat and offal: 40 days
Milk: Not for use in sheep producing milk for human consumption
Important information: CLiK Extra is for prevention of blowfly strike and will not treat established strike. Established strikes may require separate treatment with a suitable knockdown insecticide. Sheep should be checked regularly for signs of fly strike, even after treatment.
Do not apply during heavy rainfall or when heavy rain is expected, as this may reduce the protection period. Animals with dirty back-ends should be dagged or crutched before application. If dagging or crutching is carried out after treatment, affected animals may need to be re-treated.
Wear suitable protective clothing, including synthetic rubber gloves and protective trousers, when applying. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Treated sheep must be kept away from watercourses for at least 1 hour after treatment. Do not shear sheep within 3 months after treatment. Always read the product packaging and datasheet before use.
