Norbrook Calciject No.5 40 CM is a calcium and magnesium solution for injection for cattle. It is indicated for the treatment of hypocalcaemia, commonly associated with milk fever, where increased blood magnesium levels are also required.
Each 400ml bottle contains calcium and magnesium to help support the correction of metabolic disturbances in cattle where calcium and magnesium replacement is needed.
Suitable for: Cattle only.
Pack size: 400ml bottle.
Active ingredients: Each 400ml contains 11.9g calcium, provided by calcium gluconate and calcium borogluconate, and 1.85g magnesium, provided by magnesium hypophosphite.

Dosage and administration: Administer by subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.
Cattle dose: 200ml to 400ml.
The solution should be warmed to body temperature before administration. Intravenous injections should be given slowly. Normal aseptic precautions should be observed, and subcutaneous injection sites should be gently massaged after administration.

Meat and offal: zero days
Milk: zero hours
Important information: For cattle use only. Care should be taken to avoid accidental self-injection. Occasional temporary swelling may occur at subcutaneous injection sites. Veterinary advice should be sought where the animal is severely affected, recumbent, unresponsive, or where there is any doubt about diagnosis or safe administration.
